Garrick Palmer

Garrick Palmer, printmaker and painter and photographer, was born in Portsmouth in 1933. He studied at Portsmouth College of Art and Design and later at the Royal Academy Schools in London. From 1958-86 he taught at Winchester School of Art where he became Head of the Foundation Department. Palmer’s wood engravings are particularly highly regarded, many being illustrations for books from the Folio Society.
